TAP User Manual

The Tactical Assault Panel (TAP) is an adaptable platform intended to replace the Fighting Load Carrier
(FLC) vest to allow for quick-release of equipment in emergency situations. Designed to carry a variety
of basic Modular Lightweight Load Carrying Equipment (MOLLE) fighting load pouches, the TAP is fully
compatible with the Improved Outer Tactical Vest (IOTV), Releasable Body Armor Vest (RBAV) and Modular Body Armor Vest (MBAV) used by the United States Marine Corps. Because the TAP is attached only to the front panel, the vest maintains its quick-release system, giving the user emergency release reassurance.

TAP Tactical Assault Panel Features:

Durable Waterproof 1000 Denier Cordura Fabric
MIL-Spec Thread and Velcro
Panel has Built-in Pockets for Carrying Six M-4 Magazines
Two Additional Pockets to Accommodate Several Different Handheld Radios and a Pocket for a Global Positioning System (GPS) or Other Items
Allows for MOLLE Compatible Pockets to be Connected, while Allowing for Quick-Release in Emergency Situations when worn with Compatible Body Armor
Can be worn with IOTV, RBAV and MBAV or as standalone vest
Users who wear the TAP independently of body armor may opt to use an external webbing harness and wear the TAP like a Ranger Assault Carrying Kit (RACK)

A Good Setup

I purchased a TAP recently to supplement my current selection of gear. Compared the to FLC, I like its integral magazine holders and minimal design, but since the TAP doesn't have any MOLLE straps on the upper chest, I will have to re-tailor my setup. I don't expect this to be a significant issue though. As for the TAP I ordered, I observed no signifiant defects. One MOLLE loop was smaller than the rest, but a good tug got my pouch's strap through. All in all, I am quite satisfied with this purchase.

Love it!

I found many options to my plate carrier. Great materials, the ammo pouches (except the side carriers) holds my PMag's nicely. All in all, a good package.

Exactly what I Ordered

Great overall package. Only one thing: Didn't come with the same grenade pouch. One was not made of the same company or standards. the first one fits fine. The second standards were off and did not fit necessary webbing.
