The US Military Improved 5-Part ACU Digital Sleep System is a sleeping bag system constructed to insulate the user in environments ranging from mild weather to extremely cold weather. The system consists of two Mummy-style sleeping bags--the Patrol (Foliage) and the Intermediate Cold Weather (Urban Grey). Each are constructed of water-resistant, ripstop nylon. Each sleeping bag is fully functional independently. For a temperature to -30°, insert the Intermediate Cold Weather bag inside the Patrol bag. Each bag is compatible with the vapor permeable bivy cover. When all 3 components are used together the system is rated to provide 4 hours sleep at -40°F. This 5-part system includes a second smaller stuff sack. Non-flammable and machine washable.

Great shape and no problems

Camper

The IMSS that I received is in excellent condition, as advertised, and it was shipped immediately, and took only a few days to receive through the USPS. The zippers don't snag constantly, which is better than several other sleeping bags I have. I used the Intermediate bag alone at 28 degrees F, on a sleeping pad with high R value, in a tent on snow, and it worked well. I used the bags snapped together at 24 degrees, same configuration, and they were very comfortable. Both times without the bivy cover. According to the Tennier Industries information sheet on their retail version of this sleep system, they rate the combined bags as comfortable at 14 degrees F, a temperature limit of 0 degrees F, and extreme use limit of -40 degrees F. This sleep system is very versatile, and a good value for the money.

Great bag system

I have waited at least a year and a half for the 5-piece system to be in stock. Several times I got an in-stock notification, and it was already out of stock when I looked to buy in a few hours or the next morning. I finally was able to purchase one in the middle of the night because I jumped on it within 2 minutes. It was here in a few days. It looks very clean and in like new condition. A long time, and a lot of checking back, but I think worth the wait. Thanks Fort Bragg!

Great for used military stuff
